Wisdom From The Past

One of the main reasons that people are so frustrated and angry with Washington right now is that those in power are not listening to the American people. Not a surprise to any of us. Our leaders would do well on this President's Day to stop and reflect on our past Presidents. And I don't mean the recent past either. I'm talking Founding Fathers here.
I'm not sure any other nation on earth has so well documented the founder's own thoughts on the country's most sacred documents. Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, Adams, et al left us a virtual treasury of their thinking on the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. It would behoove our leaders to learn why this country was founded in the first place. No one explains the plans to a structure better than the chief architects.

In order for us to remain as free as our Founding Fathers wanted us to be, we must constantly remind ourselves why they started this country. These men were inspired by God Almighty, Himself, in setting up our Constitution and Federal Republic form of government. None of this was frivolous or by accident. This country and our system of government were well thought out by intelligent men of the highest integrity infused with the Spirit of Righteousness.

For the sake of your children and your own knowledge, take time today to review some of the writings of our Founding Fathers. You will see that they did not create our Constitution to be a "living document" that should be evolved due to the changing social climate or intellectual thinking of the day. They created a bedrock for this country to stand on that would withstand the assault of time and the whims of man. These men dealt in absolute Truth as put forth by our God and it was in this spirit that the Constitution was written. And two centuries have proven them right.
