If not, it's not that far down and I'll survive. However, if I'm right, I'll be taking credit for the being the first one to call this correctly.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We all know that the future can be hard to predict. I will explain my thinking and then my conclusion on the future in 2012. I hope I am wrong, frankly.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Our President loves power. He thrives on adoration and has very thin skin when it comes to criticism. He does not like to lose.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He is backed by one very powerful financial person, George Soros, who has made his views quite clear on devaluing the dollar and the inevitable, in his opinion, One World Government or One World Order. George Soros does not like to lose and he shares our President's love of power.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;President Obama is associated with some of the most violent radicals of the 1960s like Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground. Bill and his friends blew stuff up and have no regrets for doing it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Progressives, like our President, have been working for the past 100 years to worm their way into the power structure of our country. They intend to "fundamentally transform" America implying that they intend to change this country at it's very founding principles. In fact I would venture to say that they intend to take America away from the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence and base it on something completely different. My guess would be the principles of Karl Marx since they all seem to be fans of his writings.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Like Charcoal, these elements in themselves will not cause an explosion. However, you add the destabilizing force of the Tea Party and the Republican gains that are sure to happen on November 2nd and it's like adding Sulfur. Boom! You now have an explosive mix.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, you take violent radicals and mix with power adding 4 years of exercising that power with a base of Socialist/Communist idealism that has produced bloody revolutions in the past mixed with Tea Party influenced victories in 2010, and potentially 2012 and you get something really ugly: A Coup. No, not a chicken coop, a revolutionary, violent takeover of our government.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How will they accomplish this? I predict that there will be a national disaster in 2012 and President Obama will take the opportunity to declare Marshall Law suspending the Constitution and giving him sole power. It may be the collapse of our financial system, a nuclear attack by terrorists or some other horrendous event (possibly manufactured by the Progressives?) that will allow President Obama to stay in power and not to have to face the electorate in November 2012.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I hope I am wrong on this. However, it seems to me that now that George Soros is running the country (in the shadows, of course) and the Progressives have finally gained power after all this time, they are not going to go quietly into the night should the Tea Party prove to be an even bigger force to be reckoned with in 2012. I just don't see these people playing by the rules if they are about to lose power.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, this may set off a whole new civil war in this country. I can guarantee you that there will be armed rebellion should this occur. Patriots are not going to stand still and let someone declare himself King over us without a fight.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I also don't see President Obama stepping down after one term. He is just enjoying the attention and adoration way too much. I believe that, just as he will say anything to make his point, he will do anything to stay in power. Remember, he and all his cronies are dyed-in-the-wool Saul Alinsky radicals. The ends justifies the means and that means anything goes for maintaining power. These people don't play by the same rules as the rest of us and the Constitution is no restraint for them as they have demonstrated already.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Again, I hope I'm wrong on this. However, just to cover my fat butt, I will be going to a gun shop (and maybe Walmart) soon to get advice on obtaining some Second Amendment insurance on my liberties (while I still can). Yes, I will be clinging to my guns and religion when (and if) it all comes down. We have a firing range near our house and I plan to be a frequent visitor in the near future. If it all goes to hell in a hand basket, I want to be a great shot.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Hallelujah and pass the ammunition. They will have to pry my freedoms out of my cold, dead hands.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Be sure to vote on November 2nd. Hope for the best. I had the best German teacher in the world. A sweet lady with a big round face and pouty lips. She had broad shoulders and, with the addition of a helmet with horns on the side, would have fit perfectly into a Wagnerian opera. I can't recall her name right off the top of my head but the German she taught me will stick with me through my whole life. She was an awesome teacher.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But learning German was voluntary, what if it had been compulsory? What if that was the national language? What if you had no choice in the matter at all? What if it had been Japanese? These are real possibilities if you think about the absence of American involvement in World War II.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We would either be part of the German Empire with an aging Adolf Hitler still in charge or part of the Empire of the Sun. Either way, America would not be what it is today. We would be slaves.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On the other side of the coin, the Germans would not be free of tyranny and the Japanese would not have the technological advances they have today but for us setting them free.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The world is more free today than it was 65 years ago because we were there and involved. We defeated the Nazis and the Japanese. We brought about the collapse of the Soviet Union so that we would not be overrun by Communism. The Berlin wall came down thanks to us. It is American involvement and our freedoms that have made the world a better place to live in and spared the world the poverty and pain of slavery under a single, cruel despot.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We are the beacon of freedom in this world. The ONLY beacon of freedom, I might add. And yet we have a President that thinks our foundation is cracked as a nation, that our Constitution is fundamentally flawed. That somehow we are not entitled to keep the fruits of our labor beyond a certain point. That we can be too rich (this from a man that made $5.6 Million in 2009). That somehow the rest of the world is entitled to a share of what we have worked so hard to earn. Really? Because I earn a living I am in some way taking something away from someone in a Third World country? Because I have a successful business I am obligated to share whatever wealth I have with those in foreign countries who are incapable of generating such wealth? Really? Since when? Since Karl Marx wrote down his sick, twisted ideas eons ago.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;America should be appreciated for what it is today and how it has helped the world stay out of global despotism. By hating America, you are saying that you hating the very freedom to which you are entitled by your Creator. That is, assuming you acknowledge the Creator when quoting the Declaration of Independence. But I digress ...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To the world I say, Got a car? Thank an American. Got food on your table? Thank an American. Got a cell phone? Thank an American. Got a house? Thanks to America. American inginuity has been involved in the creation and advancement of all these things. We brought the world the transistor upon which all of today's electronics are based. We have innovated in every area of life from agriculture to automobiles to electronics and to construction. If not for us, not one would be as well off as they are today. You are welcome, world.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So why would you want to change things at the most fundamental levels that have gotten us where we are today? Why try and bypass the Constitution and criticize it? Why try and destroy our Free Market economy which has helped the world be a better place through all the innovation here in America?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well, I'll tell you why. We have a President who believes with all his heart that he is smarter than History. He does not value the past as a learning tool. He does not believe that repeating the same behaviors that have caused failure in the past will produce the same result (this is defined as insanity in AA). He has bought the lie that the theories of Karl Marx will somehow work in the real world when they have been proven failures many times. He believes Communism (sorry, State Capitalism) will somehow magically work. Mr, President, is there ANY Communist country in the world today you would actually like to go live in?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Our President does not believe that hindsight is 20-20. That looking at the past can help avoid mistakes in the future. So he attempts to steer this country into a "fundamental transformation". He believes there are things the government should do for you. Lots of things. So many things&amp;nbsp; that your individual initiative is killed. Our President may be smart but he is not wise. He also does not understand much about human psychology.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Our Founding Fathers understood, though. They knew the true nature of man. They understood that in order to move forward, people need an opportunity to succeed not a handout. It is incredible how motivated people become when there is not one to bail them out of their situation and meet their basic needs. When facing the possibility of work or starve, 9 times out of 10 they will work. The one who will not work will become a criminal and steal from the other 9. It's just human nature. This is why our Constitution is written as it is. To make sure the 9 have the opportunity to succeed or fail and that the 1 will get treated justly when he is caught stealing.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The looming lesson of the past is that The Founding Fathers were frickin' geniuses who had some serious divine help in forming this nation. American has good and bad and is a reflection of human nature. Approximately 90% of Americans are good and decent and moral people, 10% are criminals or lazy, good-for-nothings who live off the government. Unfortunately, our President is trying very hard to increase that 10% figure.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I agree with most people that President Obama is sincere in his efforts and, although not wildly popular, believes that he is doing good to this country. He believes that he is helping us progress. Unfortunately, he is very naive. Never having had a real job and never having worked in the business world, he mistakenly believes he understands the common citizen. Hey, he's smart but there is no book knowledge that can replace good, old experience. His inexperience has led him to believe that the past is irrelevant and that he has a better idea. He does not know how to seek wisdom. He is much like the college graduate that thinks he knows everything about his profession and then goes into the workforce and gets humbled as he learns to be a real professional.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And, unfortunately, what he knows about human nature is limited to how to manipulate people. This lack of understanding is going to cost him the 2012 election.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It has been said that "The past is the key to the future" and that is so right. We can survive an inexperienced, thin-skinned, naive President for another 2 years but then we need to elect a real grownup to the White House. I fear that our President is still stuck in his idealistic college days and has never made the transition to real life.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Let's help our President by removing from Congress all those who would blindly agree with him and do his bidding. Let us replace them with thinking, functional adults who appreciate the past as the teacher who keeps us from repeating the same mistakes and shows us what really works in solving our current problems. I am white and a racist. I race to a number of places during the day. I race against time to accomplish what I need to accomplish. I race against the progressive movement in this country that would enslave us all in socialism or communism. I will race to the polls in November to vote every incumbent in Congress out of office. Yes, I race a lot.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Oh, you thought I meant the hate mongering "racist". No way, Jose! I am a child of the 60's. The boomer generation had racism beat out of us during the Civil Rights Movement. Almost everyone in my generation and the following generations is color blind. Shoot, 53% of Americans just elected a non-Caucasian President in 2008. Come on, you can't be serious thinking we could possibly be that kind of "racist". That's just crazy talk.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sure, as always, there remains a small, all-white, micro-minority or idiots who think that Hitler was a great guy or have a fetish for wearing sheets and burning crosses but that's the far, far extreme. 90% of Americans do not care what color your skin is and I am one of them. Particularly, Christians cannot be "racist" because we are to love everyone as we love ourselves. Hey, it's a commandment. So, no, I would not qualify for that kind of "racist".&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Besides, real "racists" do things like accuse others of racism without any proof in an attempt to manipulate them. They use hyphenated names to describe themselves like African-American or Mexican-American or Asian-American and emphasize the fact that they are racially different. They are purposely divisive in using these names or use words like "Negro" (you do realize that the n-word is just slang for Negro, right?) or "Colored People" in the title of their organizations. Their purpose is to make sure Americans are not united.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are no hyphenated Americans. We are all one nation under God. We are a melting pot. Each legal immigrant should contribute their flavor to the blend that is America. Like a Starbucks Frappucino® Blended Beverage, we should be fused into a nation with a single purpose. Our culture is unique because of all of the individuals who contribute to it. Yet it is our culture, the American culture. It belongs to every one of us.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Those who will not blend into our culture should go back to where they came from rather than seek citizenship. Those who will continue to point out skin color and emphasize that difference in order to divide us should be ignored.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There is no racial diversity in American, only racial fusion. That is not to say that we should not celebrate the racial heritages that blend into this great nation. Just like you list the ingredients in a recipe, our different heritages should only be listed when providing a formula for other nations to follow when they are seeking their freedom.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As has been said, "United we stand, divided we fall". Let us all stand united as Americans and reject labels and people who would divide us. Color blindness, where race is concerned, produces peace. Dr. King taught us that and so did Jesus.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Unfortunately, our current administration does not see it this way. They and their supporters continue to hurl false accusations of racism at those who disagree with the President's policies. Just last night I heard someone claim that this summer of building anger in the American public was all about white people suddenly waking up and realizing that they had elected a non-white person to the White House. You can't be serious! Yet this is but another example of how stupid Progressives think the American public is. If we won't behave as they want or go along with their policies, they attempt to explain it away and shame us into submission. Well, wake up Progressives, we're Americans and we're FREE. We have a brain and know how to use it. It is ironic that Progressives want us to mindlessly go along with them while claiming that we should think for ourselves and not be slaves to Glenn Beck. Yet they become upset when we do think for ourselves and disagree with what they are doing. Weird.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;By the way, we do not have a Black President. We do not have an African-American President&amp;nbsp; or a mixed-race President even though his mother was Caucasian and his father Nigerian. We have an American President (assuming he actually was born in Hawaii as he claims). &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Let's send the largest anti-racism message in history by voting everyone out of office this November who ever even hinted that Americans are racist. I don't know about you but I detest being falsely accused. Says what the states can’t do to you. Says what the Federal government can’t do to you, but doesn’t say what the Federal government or State government must do on your behalf, ..." Ever since I first that quote, and there is a larger context with other things in it I took issue with, the term "negative liberties" has bugged me. I do not ever remember reading anything by our Founding Fathers that used that term. So I did a little investigating and found out where the term came from. Generally, the term is the modern-day equivalent of what our Founding Fathers called "natural rights".&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Doesn't the term "negative liberties" sound like a bad thing? Well, it's not but it is an interesting choice of terms. Pres O used it correctly but it further points to his basic belief that the government should be doing more for the people. This concept of deeper government intrusion into people's lives to provide social justice and equally distribute wealth are among concepts that our President has voiced support of on many occasions. Health Care and the new Financial bill are just two examples.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The basic assumption here is that people will never do the right thing until the government steps in and makes them do it. Charity will not happen without the government forcefully removing wealth and redistributing it to those who do not have it. Care for the sick and needy will never occur unless the government mandates it as law. It is unfortunate that our President has such a low opinion of the American Spirit. I guess we should just ignore the fact that we are the most generous nation on the earth and that this fact is common knowledge among all nations.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The term "negative liberties" was not used by our Founding Fathers because they did not think of our liberties as a "negative" anything. Yes, the term does mean liberties that may not be restricted and, hence, the term "negative" but there are better and less derogatory ways to refer to them. Unless, of course, you're trying to convince people that there is some fundamental flaw in our Constitution. Then use of the term makes a lot of sense.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Our President is a man of words. He carefully chooses the words he uses to get the correct emotional response from the listener. He is a man who always wants you to feel that he is on your side and sympathizes with you even when he could care less. He is very much someone who says whatever is expedient and then goes out and does whatever he wants. Basically, we, the American people, do not figure into his plans (other than to finance them).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Founding Fathers saw us as imbued with all kinds of rights, so many that enumerating them in a document was ridiculous. It was a lot easier, and shorter, to enumerate what the government could restrict for the common good. Scribes get tired, you know. So the government cannot restrict the rights given to me by God unless explicitly granted the power to do so by the Constitution. This includes taking my property under the guise of "redistribution of wealth". I am entitled to keep my property and that includes the wages I earn for a living. I can distribute it as I see fit but the government has no right to it. This concept is complete at odds with our President and his philosophy of government and the current operation of the Federal government.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So the concept of our government, as delineated in the Constitution, is for me to be personally responsible for exercising all my various rights (right to succeed or fail, right to property, right to life, right to liberty and the pursuit of happiness to name a few) and the government should basically stay out of my business. There are few things our government should be doing for us (like providing for the common defense) and that is a good thing. People should be self-sufficient. It builds character and makes for a peaceful society when people have purpose and are gainfully employed. It also makes for a prosperous society and everyone benefits from that.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Feeding the poor and sheltering the homeless were intended to remain the domain of the Church. Man, have they dropped the ball. Churches should be doing so much for our sick and indigent that there should be no one available to make use of a government program. This, unfortunately, is not the case. Churches are doing what they can. Homeless shelters and charitable organizations are doing all that they can but funds are limited. People would contribute more if they had more to contribute. But taking my money as taxes and giving it to someone who wants to build a tunnel under a highway to accommodate turtles is just plain sinful.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We are being driven in the opposite direction from the Founder's vision of how this country should work. Time to put on the brakes and turn this bus around. The only way we are going to do that is to vote everyone out of office this November. A complete purging of the House will be a good start. We'll retake the Presidency and Senate in 2012.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The correct hierarchy of power in this country was intended to be God then the people then the states and last, but least, the Federal government. We have all heard of the battle to remove "In God We Trust" from our currency as well as the demonic effect that having the 10 Commandments in a courtroom or classroom causes. Refusal to say "One nation, under God" in our pledge of allegiance, the misused and misrepresented arguments about the separation of Church and State as well as the horrors of Christmas displays on government property.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There is a segment of American society that is bound and determined to make sure that God is never mentioned in anything governmental. They believe that God and government do not mix. But is that viewpoint correct? Is that what our Founding Fathers believed?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The men that founded this country and who authored the Constitution and Declaration of Independence were well studied in what does and does not work in governments throughout history. One thing they discovered in their studies was that a Federal Republic was the wisest form of government for this nation to have. However, in order to make it work properly and to maintain it's longevity, they also realized that it would be necessary for the leaders running the government to be moral and virtuous.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And what produces moral and virtuous leaders? A moral and virtuous people. And what creates moral and virtuous people? Well, W. Cleon Skousen has part of the answer in the 2nd principle that our Founding Fathers held to in creating this nation. Ben Franklin said it best, "Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;George Washington then finished the thought for him in his Farewell Address, "Let it simply be asked, where is the security for property, for reputation, for life if the sense of religious obligation desert the oaths which are the instruments of investigation in courts of justice? And let us with cauthion indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education ... reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in the exclusion of religious principle."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Yes, religion is critical in maintaining a moral and virtuous people. The churches in our nation play a vital role in making our government work as it should. Without religion, and God, our leaders become "corrupt and vicious". And we are seeing that played out in Washington today. Imagine if God was removed from government altogether. We're pretty close to that happening.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The other reason why God can never be removed from American society lies in the Declaration of Independence. It reads, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness." No God, no unalienable rights. It's that simple. And if God does not grant us our rights, who does? The government. If the government grants rights, it can easily take them away. Can you say "Hugo Chavez?"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When the government is totally in control of your life you are either living in a Dictatorship or an Oligarchy (rule by the few) or the like. You are definitely not living in a constitutional republic. Suspend God from society and government and you suspend the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. Without these documents, we are not America.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The lame argument of separation of church and state is used to justify this action of removing God and all religious references from our government. But this is a ruse. First off, the words "separation of church and state" do not appear anywhere in any any of our founding documents. Second, it is a perversion of a letter that Thomas Jefferson wrote to someone explaining why there should never be a State-run church. However, our Founding Fathers, as you have already read, fully intended for the church to influence the government and for God to be the authority that people could appeal to when the government was out of control. The people's authority to run this country comes from God alone. Not from law, not from the government. God grants the people the rights to govern themselves and government is subject to the will of the people in executing their duties in governing.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There is a natural order to this and it is not for our government or anyone else to violate that natural order.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So it breaks down simply to this: No God, no America. Therefore, we can never be a secular society. God must remain in our government to remind the governing that they serve the people only by God's grace. Thus the term Public Servant.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then what is the goal of those who would secularize America. It can only be to destroy this nation and what it stands for so that our God-given rights and form of government can be replaced with something that does not include God such as Socialism or Communism or a Dictatorship or an Oligarchy or a Monarchy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We need to push back. The Ten Commandments need to be restored to all courts in America. People should have to swear on a Bible prior to giving testimony. "One nation, under God" needs to remain in our pledge and our money should continue to read "In God We Trust".&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now I realize that all this causes a problem for Agnostics (people who don't know what they believe) and Atheists who do not believe in God. They will just have to work this out if they want to live in this country. There are plenty of places in this world they can live that do not involve God in their system of government. America is not one of them and should never be.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This November, go behind the candidates into their private lives. Two words: TERM LIMITS. I believe that everyone who is Tea Party approved for the November election should support getting term limits placed on Congress.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We have seen what constant re-election brings out in Senators and House members over the years: arrogance and entitlement. Some of the current members of Congress have been there so long they believe it is their right. I remember the news media referring to Scott Brown's seat in Massachusetts as the "Kennedy" seat and how that infuriated me. No one has a right to claim a Senate or House seat as their own. For Heaven sakes, they are there to serve the public not the other way around.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We've all seen what spending too much time as a lawmaker has done to Princess Nancy and Prince Harry. If only the little people could understand their plight. Only they carry the burden of knowing what is good for us since we are unable to decide that for ourselves. How unselfish and humanitarian of them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And let's keep this term limits thing simple. Two terms in either house and you are through with that section of Congress. Thank you for your service, now give someone else a chance at governing. Yes, that does mean that someone could spend two terms in the House and two in the Senate but the worst we would have to suffer is 16 years of them. Now there is lots of room for negotiation here. I would be open to one term in the Senate and/or three terms in the House for a total of 12 years. Fewer years is better. I would also be open to other combinations but let's keep to serving for a max of 10-15 years total.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Term limits have the distinct advantage of providing fresh blood to Washington and keeping the special interests from becoming entrenched. Does this guarantee an end to corruption? No, but electing people of character will do that job.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So this year, push the candidates on the issue of term limits. See if the person you will be voting for will support term limits or not. How? Email them and ask them or give them a call.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The ruling class in Washington must be disbanded before we end up with a Dictatorship or an Oligarchy (rule by the few). Let's get our voice listened to again in Washington. Vote for Tea Party approved candidates that support term limits for Senators and House members.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Oh, yeah, and while we're at it, let's try and get Senators appointed by State Legislatures again rather than being elected by popular vote. This is a philosophy in which Pres O does not appear to put much stock nor do his minions. In spite of the worldwide failures of Marxism and Socialism and Communism, he relentlessly continues to push government programs which will expand the role of government and push this nation towards those philosophies. These systems of government are the antithesis of our free market economy and minimal government Republic as designed and implemented by the Founding Fathers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In hopes that this might change, given a historical example Pres O can relate to, I would like to bring to his attention the historical record involving Eldridge Cleaver.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, if you were nonexistent, or at least unaware, during the 1960s, you may not be familiar with this name. I know my wife was not and she is a 1959 baby. Mr. Cleaver was a black radical Marxist-Communist who was an important figure in the Black Panther Party during the 1960s. He believed that the government of the United States should be overthrown by violence and attempted to do just that by inciting riots and ambushing Police.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In 1968, EC was wounded in a shootout with Police in Oakland, CA. He fled the country to Cuba (he was a fan of Fidel) and spent time there and behind the iron and bamboo curtains (USSR occupied countries and China). He got his fill of his "beloved" communism and marxism. Eight years later he requested to come home to the USA to face his punishment. His quote at the time? "I'd rather be in prison in the United States than free anywhere else in the world." WOW! What a transition. It seems the radical marxist who wanted to turn this country into a socialistic paradise had come to grips with the reality of communism in this world. He had so rejected his stance on radical marxism that he campaigned for Ronald Reagan.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;EC realized, as should Pres O and his close associates, that communism and marxism are NEVER successful in creating a country where you would want to live. Still not convinced and think Che Guevara was cool or that Castro is some kind of hero like Sean Penn does? Think Mao was a great philosopher? Well, I have a suggestion for you. Go spend some time in Cuba or Venezuela or China and see what it is like to live under a communist/marxist regime. It is not a pretty site unless you just happen to be the ruling party or the dictator himself. Only the elite at the very top benefit from these types of regimes. The common folk, who these systems tout to benefit, suffer the most.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But, if communism and marxism are proven failures that do not work, why do people still fancy these systems of government? Well, the Founding Fathers examined many forms of government and the basic principles of communism and marxism were present in governmental systems of their day. They vehemently rejected the basic principles of communism and marxism. I will blog on that at another time but their arguments against Nanny-states are quite convincing. Collectivism, which both communism and marxism are a part of, could not work as a form of government and the Founding Fathers saw that quite clearly.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Communism and Marxism capture the imagination briefly in their promises to right the wrongs of society and provide peace and stability. However, on closer examination, one realizes, as our FFs did, that the promises are hollow due to that one pesky thing called "human nature". People are people and they don't change. These systems fall apart because they rely on human beings going contrary to their nature. History has proven this over and over again.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, I put it to you, should we have a President who surrounds himself with people who are self-avowed communists and marxists? Should we have a President in this country who is one?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have seen people defending Pres O as not being a socialist (both communists and marxists are socialists) or a communist or a marxist and yet, by his own admission, he spent as much time as possible around radical marxist professors in college. He sat in Jeremiah Wright's church for 20 years listening to reverse racist rants. He wants to grow government and spend, spend, spend. He believes it is the government's job to take care of people. Really? I thought that it was our job as American citizens to look out for each other and help when people are in trouble. He believes in redistributing the wealth from the wealthy to the poor. Sounds good, however the only problem with that is that the poor did nothing to earn it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Government dependency is slavery. It's back to that old saying, "Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him for life."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, what can we do? Well, a good start would be to elect a Congress this November who can at least push back against Pres O as he attempts to take us in the wrong direction. There are 435 opportunities in the House to elect everyday honest hard-working people who are trustworthy and moral. How many do you know? Well, get them to run for office. Or you run. No more professional politicians. I am self-employed and I understand the issues that need to be fixed in our health care system. However, cramming this bill down the American public's throat is not the way to do it. The provisions in this bill do not address the issues in an appropriate way. The feeling you get from a fresh start invigorates and, in some cases, stimulates creativity. New ideas seems to flow more smoothly and new solutions, sometimes very simple in their makeup, reveal themselves. Clutter tends to dull the brain while a clean environment seems to make one refreshed and able to take on projects that may have seemed daunting just hours before.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And so it will be when we replace all the incumbent members of The House of Representatives and Senate in November. Now you may think this is naive or even wrong to promote a complete replacement of the members of the House. There are good Representatives. I know we have one right here in North Texas, Congressman Sam Johnson, an American hero from the Vietnam War. He is both honest and principled. I am sure that he is doing his best for the American people in the House.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Unfortunately, Sam is in the minority. Most House members are pompous fat-cats who sell their vote to the highest bidder. Corruption is the norm in the House as it is in the Senate. Sam has one flaw. He probably, from my reckoning, is more loyal to the Republican Party than he is to his constituency. Love you, Sam, but that is unacceptable. Although Sam is close to the perfect candidate, too much time in the cesspool of Congress and you cannot help but reek of the stench. Contamination is inevitable.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, the only solution to clean up this mess, as far as I can see, is to clean House (pun intended). Throw the bums out and start over. Here are 10 reasons why I think this is a good idea.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(1) It will stop Washington corruption dead in it's tracks. The special interests will have no one to go to. These big money organizations will find no takers with average Americans in there. We need ethical and moral people running our government. People who are not for sale. These groups can make their requests known but they will not be able to buy influence. Yes, people do have their price. We need to make sure we elect people with principles who, hopefully, do not have a price tag on their vote.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(2) It will remind the current members of Congress that "We The People" hold the power in this country. Do you think they need a subtle two-by-four-to-the-head reminder? If Nancy Pelosi talks to me one more like I'm a third-grader who can't possibly understand these big, bad pieces of legislation, I may just end up taking a short vacation to Washington, D.C. and get in her face about it.&amp;nbsp; Preferably, I would just like to see the citizens of San Francisco handily vote her out of office this November. That would save me a trip.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(3) The Nanny State will be stopped. Entitlements will be more easily phased out. There are too many government entitlements. We are Americans, not third-world, uneducated, poverty-stricken people who can't take care of themselves. We can do just fine on our own. No government intervention needed. Entitlements breed slavery and sloth. Americans need to be stimulated to stand on their own. And when assistance is needed, that is what organizations like The Salvation Army and Red Cross are for. We are the most generous and giving nation on the earth. Both at home and abroad.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(4) Spending can easily be cut to stimulate job growth. Can I get an AMEN on this one? Congress cannot spend our way out of this economic crisis. Reducing government spending and reducing the size of government will make this deficit we have shrink faster than a deflated balloon. Bloated government is a leach sucking the life out of America. There are too many agencies and bureaucrats. The average government salary is above $70K. $70K! How many Americans earn $70K or above? Less than 50% since the average American salary in 2009 is less than $50K. Since when do the servants earn more than the masters? They are Public Servants, you know. I could live with it being equal but that disparity, on top of the whopping benefits and retirement package government employees have, makes me angry. And they aren't even that good at their jobs. How many competent government bureaucrats do you know? &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(5) Taxes can easily be cut to stimulate job growth.Another hearty AMEN? Taxes in this country are ridiculously high to support our bloated government and all the pork and special projects that our lawmakers waste money on. A flat tax, like a national sales tax, is more fair. He who consumes pays tax. Those who consume more, pay more tax. Simple and clean.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(6) The deficit will be reduced. Cutting spending and lowering taxes will have a positive effect on our deficit. By increasing our GDP, we can start applying money to knock out the deficit in short order. We can also start utilizing our natural resources to break our dependency on foreign oil and have enough left over to export it and further reduce the deficit.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(7) Term limits will be able to finally be instituted for Congress. I think 4 terms in the House and 2 terms in the Senate should be sufficient. It is the lawmakers that have 20+ years in Congress that are our worst problem. They believe they are entitled to their positions of power and have lost touch with the American people. Term limits also makes sure fresh blood flows through the halls of Congress on a pretty regular basis and opens up more opportunities for citizens to server our great nation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(8) The size of government can be shrunk significantly. Average Americans elected to office will hunt down the waste and fraud in our government. Returning certain rights to the States will also shrink the Federal government. Reduced spending and removing unnecessary government agencies could possibly reduce the size of our government by as much as 75%.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(9) Common sense will finally reign in Washington. Pork will only be used for making bacon. Waste and fraud are common in our government. Stupidity seems to be the order of the day. We need people in office with some good old-fashioned common sense. Never have I heard so much absurd talk from such educated people as I hear from our Congressmen and Congresswomen as of late. Finally, our government would get a clue.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(10) It will feel REALLY good to kick those guys out. What else can you say? Doing the right thing feels great and stopping the bad guys is as American as apple pie. I would like to be proud of my government for once.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;435 seats in the House and 1/3rd of the Senate are up for election this year. This is historic. We can fundamentally transform America overnight. Wouldn't that be great? You wake up on the day after Election Day in November and have real HOPE. Real hope because the CHANGE we just made in our government is going to reap benefits for this generation and for generations to come.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ah, fall. What a fantastic time for cleaning House (and Senate). Vote anti-incumbent this November. Elect people of character to Congress. Only then will we be able to trust our elected officials to vote as their constituency directs.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Good night, American. The fact that Pres O and his band of 60's radicals are trying to turn our country into a socialist utopia is a symptom of the real conflict going on. Corruption in Washington, Congress ignoring the will of the people, the arrogance of elitists like Nancy Pelosi, almost daily revelations of scandals at all levels of government, political correctness gone to the extreme of suppression of free speech and the general assault on our American history and heritage are also just symptoms of the real conflict.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is the biggest issue American's have to face up to. It is bigger than we are as a nation and even bigger than the international rancor about us. The issue reaches deep into the heart of who America is as a country and who her people claim to be. If this issue is not resolved correctly, we will lose a part of ourselves and a part of our heritage. The issue is critical to the survival of this nation as we know it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pundits seem to be reticent to put their finger on the issue. I have heard Glenn Beck mention it only in passing but never has he identified it as the main issue facing America. He, and others, seem to concentrate on the first symptom I brought up. Namely, Pres O and his cronies.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Our real conflict in this country is will we be one nation under God or not? Christianity versus Atheism, pure and simple. Are we a Christian country or not? Our Founding Fathers saw us as one. Only a Christian country can have true freedom of religion because in protecting the rights of others to practice their religion, Christians are free to worship as they choose. To quote George Washington from his Farewell Address, &lt;i&gt;"Of all the dispositions and habits, which lead to political prosperity, Religion and Morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of Patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of Men and Citizens. The mere Politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and to cherish them. A volume could not trace all their connexions with private and public felicity. Let us with caution indulge the supposition, that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience both forbid us to expect, that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle. It is substantially true, that virtue or morality is a necessary spring of popular government."&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Religion and Morality are called "indispensible supports" of political prosperity. He also warnns that "reason and experience both forbid us to expect, that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle." Religion and morality are inescapably linked. They must both be present for our system to work. Therefore, although not creating a state-run religion, our government should be advocating that all men find some form of religion to practice. Preferably one which teaches morality as Christianity does. Virtues like honesty and compassion need to be taught. Character traits of courage, kindness and generosity need to be encouraged. Basically what Christianity calls the "fruit of the spirit" (Galatians 5:22-23): love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Imagine teaching these values in our schools. Can you imagine what kind of generation we would raise?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In Christianity, these principles come from God. Not Allah or Buddah or Mao or Marx. The God of the Bible. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The God of Israel. The God that created everything in this world according to the Bible. The God of our Founding Fathers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Most importantly, our Founding Fathers believed that our unalienable rights came from our Creator, the God of the Bible. These rights to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" were not granted by any government except that of the Most High God. America was founded as a Republic inheriting our rights from God's theocracy in Heaven. Just as God gives life to each soul through man, God gave birth to America through men. God created this country to be a beacon of freedom, opportunity, justice and morality to the world. True freedom reflective of the Christian's freedom in Christ. And what is the watchman of our morality? Religion. Without Religion, we will wander into the amoral, repressive wasteland of rule by men. Where God rules, there is justice. Where man rules without God, there is despotism.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You want moral, responsible, trustworthy men and women in Congress? Then vote for those candidates who are religious and who are dedicated to their religion and to the righteous teachings of that religion. Our Founding Fathers did not want a state-run religion but they fully intended for religion to influence government and to keep those governing us on track.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ask the hard questions of the candidates. Will your faith and religious values influence your votes in the legislature? The answer better be a resounding "Yes".&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Screw political correctness. All we get are wishy-washy candidates who will say whatever they think the voters want to hear. Vote for people who will vote their convictions.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Screw partisanship. Vote for those that do not put their party's platform ahead of the wishes of their constituents. We want people of character in Washington. Once elected, we want people in Congress who will shed their identity as a Republican or Democrat and work for the good of the American people.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Demand this of your candidates. Tell them outright that they may not count on your vote unless you can count on them. Make them convince you that they will sincerely serve their constituency and always tell you the truth. We too often assume too much of what candidates believe or will do. Make them commit in writing or in person to doing what is right.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And above all else, demand honesty and transpanency from your candidates.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Just to be safe, keep a recall petition handy in case your elected official betrays your trust. Gather all the signatures you need but leave the name blank. Send a copy to whoever is elected with a note saying that this petition is waiting for their name to be filled in and a recall to be filed if they should stray from what they have promised. Let them know that the American public will pull the plug on their political career in a heartbeat if we feel betrayed. Remind them that they are just borrowing our power for the moment. Ultimately, we the people, are in charge and hold all the power according to the Constitution.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;More to come in keeping God in American government. Separation of church and state has only to do with a state-run church and that is not what I am advocating here. You can get almost anything you want at the touch of a button or the click of a mouse. Sometimes, like when you purchase items online, you have to wait a little while for the final results of the mouse click but that is OK.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And that goes for peace and security too. They are just one punch, click or button push away in a voting booth. Just think, you can change the course of American history with just one vote. You can stop the abuse, lies and corruption in Washington with just one vote. You can restore sanity to our economy with just one vote. A single vote is the most powerful agent of change ever invented. Our entire government can be replaced overnight. Administrations can be toppled, corruption can be ended, free markets can be saved, income can be freely earned,&amp;nbsp; life and liberty can be pursued. Wow, almost sounds too good to be true.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But it is true. Our Founding Fathers set it up to be true. Each American citizen holds within their hands the power to turn the rudder on this giant ship we call America. We can all assist in steering a new course for our nation. However, you must cast that vote in order for it to count and that requires getting out to the polls on election day or casting an early vote. Either way, you make your voice heard and exercise the power reserved for "We the People".&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sick of what is going on in Washington? Change it. Tired of being treated like "trailer park trash". Make it go away. By &lt;u&gt;&lt;b&gt;NOT&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/u&gt; voting for incumbent candidates in the upcoming November elections, we can make a clean start of things. Stories of corruption and in-fighting and partisan battles will cease immediately.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We need people of character in Washington. Take time this fall to investigate the candidates. Make your vote count for good by voting into office someone who will respect the American people and represent us faithfully.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have always contended that ballots should contain a "None of the Above" option. If the "Nones" get the most votes, all candidates are eliminated and a new batch recruited and the election is held again. We should not have to vote for someone just because they are the lesser of several evils.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Are you a person of integrity? If you are, maybe you should consider running for Congress. You are just as qualified as the current batch of losers in there. And you'll probably do a much better job of listening to the American people about what they do and do not want. Some new blood should open up the old lines of communication.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyone can be corrupted by power. It is human nature to sell out to better yourself. We just need some people in Washington with some integrity. Who won't fold at the first 6-digit offer from a special interest group but will stand by their convictions when voting on legislation, We need people who are honest and bold and humble.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Constant exposure to the kind of temptations that are offered by special interest groups can eventually corrupt even the most staunch supporter of ethics. That is why I believe that no one should server more than two terms in Congress. We need to limit the exposure of our lawmakers to corrosive influences. This will also assure a fresh supply of new ideas on a periodic basis giving even more citizens an opportunity to serve our nation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This November, exercise your right as an American. Accepting for President Obama, Vice President Joe Biden. (VP Biden hops up to the stage on one leg because the other foot is in his mouth)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well, it could happen that way. I think our president deserves a Best Actor Award for the performance he has given over the last year. I mean, come on, you must have been impressed by his ability to make you think he was sincere when he was lying to your face. Only great actors have the ability to sell what they are saying when they know it is Bull Shit. Bravo, Mr. President. Well done.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However, there is distinction here that probably disqualifies President Obama from the Academy Awards. Actors are paid to make us believe a fantasy. They say words that are not their own but must convince us that they are indeed the fruit of the character they are portraying. Pres O is not paid for that. He is paid to tell us the truth. I seriously doubt if he was elected to purposely lie to us. I don't remember that being part of his campaign. He promised Hope and Change not Lies and Corruption. Unfortunately, he has delivered the latter in his first year in office. And there is no "change" about the same old Lies and Corruption.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We expect our President to tell us the truth, So, why is he lying to us? He makes promises he cannot and will not keep or tells the American public things that he knows not to be true. In either case, he can be labeled a liar. I find it a stretch to believe that he believes what he is saying is true. Is Pres O that naive? Does he have such a Pollyanna complex that he believes that if he says certain things they will magically work out even when they are absurd? This is usually not indicative of a Harvard Law School grad. Is he smart or is he stupid? If he's stupid, that puts a whole new spin on things and he should be voted out of office. If he's smart, then he's lying through his teeth while smiling at the camera. If he's lying, he should be voted out of office. Either way, he should not be our President.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He is a convincing liar. He makes you want to believe him even when you know what he is saying is totally inaccurate or is a total fabrication. He sells opinion as fact. He tells us about statistics like jobs created or saved that cannot be backed up by facts. He knows when he's telling us that the information is bogus but he tells us any way. Maybe we'll believe him. Maybe not. The point is, most of the time he is lying to us and we know it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;People reach a point, when lied to enough, that they finally say "Enough is enough". At that point, they stop listening to the lies or believing the liar and withdraw their giving of the benefit of the doubt. I believe that is what has happened in America and why Pres O's support and approval ratings are in the tank. People are fed up with being lied to. The American public is not stupid.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Health Care is a perfect example. Pres O promised over and over again that you &lt;u&gt;&lt;b&gt;would&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/u&gt; be able to keep your doctor under the new plan. Surprise! Now he is claiming that "someone" (oooh, an unnamed, mysterious entity) has "snuck" a provision into the legislation that will &lt;u&gt;&lt;b&gt;NOT&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/u&gt; allow you to keep your doctor. Oooops! Well, who could this "someone" be. Must be the evil Republicans. No, they have not been included in the legislative process for the Health Care bill. Hmmm, that leaves only members of Pres O's own party, the Democrats. Ooooops, again. Who is their leader? Pres O. Wait, he said it was "someone" and he played the innocent victim having no idea how it got there. Could he be lying to us about that? Ya think! He's known all along that the provisions in the HC bill would not allow you to keep your doctor. Now that things are out in the open and people are able to read the bill, he's got to cover his butt. As long as he could keep things from the public eye, he could say anything he wanted and no one could verify the veracity of his statements. However, now that the bill has been made public it's time to do some damage control. Liar, liar, pants on fire.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Why does Washington treat us this way? We vote for these people (OK, I did &lt;u&gt;&lt;b&gt;NOT&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/u&gt; vote for Pres. O, just so we're clear on that point) to govern us, give them our trust and then they talk down to us and lie to our face about what they are doing. Aren't you sick of this? "Politics as usual" is killing our country. There is a solution to all of this and I'll address that in my next post.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I heard an interview on the radio today with Mike Huckabee. Gov Huck was talking about his interview with Michelle Obama and what a lovely and sincere person she is. Well, what kind of "lovely and sincere" woman can stand to be married to a man that lies to the American public constantly. I would think she would be constantly on vigil to make sure he wasn't lying to her. Or at least morally outraged at his actions. Funny, I have not heard any criticism of Pres O from Ms M. Do you think maybe she's in on it? DUH! Gov Huck better go back and rethink his comments in defense of the First Lady to her critics. Bad call Huck.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, I'm going to make you a promise which I will keep. Being a man of integrity, I will not lie to you. I will never purposely tell you something I know to be untrue (definition of a liar). I may be mistaken upon occasion. If I discover inaccuracies in my posts, I will be the first one to blog a correction and admit to my error. It really is not that hard to do. Living a life above board is much better than living one under the table. There are no lies so you never have to keep track of your lies to make sure they are consistent. Evan Bayh retires and so the exodus of politicians begins. Better to retire than to be soundly beaten in an election. Will we see more of these "retirements"? I think so.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;So, the "shine" has rubbed off the savior. President Obama is losing face quickly among his own party. No one in the Democratic party seems to believe that the good ship "O" can keep them afloat in November. The smart ones will quietly go away. The less savvy ones will stay the course and get soundly thrashed come November. Nancy Pelosi's days as Speaker of the House are numbered. You can kiss Harry Reid goodbye as he has no chance at all for re-election.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;Now this is real "hope" and "change". In fact, I hope there will be a big change in the makeup of the Senate and House. It is possible that President Obama will find himself in Bill Clinton's shoes circa 1994. Let's hope it's not anything to do with an intern but simply that he would now face a Congress controlled by the other party. For someone who seems adamant about not learning from the past, Pres O would do well to make a phone call soon to Hillary's hubby on exactly how to proceed after November. The Clinton playbook could prove helpful.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;However, Pres O seems destined for failure because he will not use the lessons of the past to learn how to deal with the problems of today. He appears to think that he's smarter than anyone else in history and will somehow come up with a solution to further his progressive agenda that no one has ever considered before. After all, he is a Harvard man. It is not uncommon for professors to become so full of themselves that they cannot see the simple solutions presented by those that have faced identical situations in the past and doom themselves to failure because they will not heed the voices of their predecessors.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt; &lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;For example, people still insist that Marxism or Communism or Socialism is the answer to the woes of society. This has been proven a fallacy time and time again with the latest victim being the USSR. These forms of "big government" do not work in the long run whereas our form of government has shown veracity for over 200 years. Freedom is bread into us. It is the essence of the American Spirit. Valor, courage, charity and compassion are all character traits we admire as Americans. No matter your politics, Americans stand behind their young men and women in the military because they embody that which we hold dear.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;Yes, we have some cleaning of our house to do. Yes, integrity does need to be restored to Washington. Those in power need to be people who believe in "We the people" as the ones they are serving. Men and women who, once elected, put their political party aside and work for the good of the American public without regard to re-election or special interests. People who have a disdain for corruption and who stand on principle. These are the type of members we need in both houses of Congress, Americans of a higher standard.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;As I have said before, this is the opportunity of a lifetime. We can sweep out the decay with a single vote this November and replace it with fresh blood and devoted countrymen. Let's not just vote for a party this November, let's vote for the person who best represents the ideals of being an American. We have routed the progressives and they are beginning their retreat. Time for us to move in and seize control of what it rightfully ours. Not a surprise to any of us. Our leaders would do well on this President's Day to stop and reflect on our past Presidents. And I don't mean the recent past either. I'm talking Founding Fathers here.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; font-size: small;"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; font-size: small;"&gt;I'm not sure any other nation on earth has so well documented the founder's own thoughts on the country's most sacred documents.&lt;/span&gt; Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, Adams, et al left us a virtual treasury of their thinking on the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. It would behoove our leaders to learn why this country was founded in the first place. No one explains the plans to a structure better than the chief architects.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;In order for us to remain as free as our Founding Fathers wanted us to be, we must constantly remind ourselves why they started this country. These men were inspired by God Almighty, Himself, in setting up our Constitution and Federal Republic form of government. None of this was frivolous or by accident. This country and our system of government were well thought out by intelligent men of the highest integrity infused with the Spirit of Righteousness.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;For the sake of your children and your own knowledge, take time today to review some of the writings of our Founding Fathers. You will see that they did not create our Constitution to be a "living document" that should be evolved due to the changing social climate or intellectual thinking of the day. They created a bedrock for this country to stand on that would withstand the assault of time and the whims of man. These men dealt in absolute Truth as put forth by our God and it was in this spirit that the Constitution was written. In America's case, accountability of the Federal government to the States and to the people.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: green; font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;span style="color: black;"&gt;Unaccountable leaders becoming despots is in our DNA as human beings. There is an old saying that "absolute power, corrupts absolutely" and it has been proven time and time again. A lack of accountability has taken down many, many leaders in our history. Leaders who started out as good people with honorable intentions but a lack of accountability led to corruption, greed and perversion. It is human nature for this to occur. We have both the capacity for good and for evil. Evil thrives in the darkness like a cockroach. Only the light of accountability keeps that side of us in check.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: green; font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;span style="color: black;"&gt;Ever wonder why the President has not kept his pledge of increased governmental transparency? Well, that would expose what is really going on in Washington to the scrutiny of the American public. If you are purposely doing things that you &lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;u&gt;KNOW&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt; people are going to dislike, you keep those activities hidden and secret. Exposing them to observation by the common folk would, most likely, spark outrage. The last thing President Obama wants on his hands is an uprising of the American people. Ooops, too late. It's already happening.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color: green; font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;span style="color: black;"&gt;President Obama says that if he had just explained the Health Care bill better, the American people would see how wonderful and helpful it is and we would agree with his position on it. That proclamation by the President demonstrates several things. First, he believes that he cannot be wrong. Second, he is unwilling to look honestly at an issue and have a real debate on it. Third, the Amer&lt;span style="color: green;"&gt;ican public cannot think for itself or recognize something for what it really is and must be lead to the truth through explanation &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: green; font-size: small;"&gt;(ala Bill Maher)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: green; font-size: small;"&gt;. The man's ego is his worst enemy.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="color: black;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: black;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;Now you take a combination of a man:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;ol style="color: black;"&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;who believes he is always right&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;who believes that there is no need for discussion on an issue that he has made his mind up on&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;who believes the government can (and should) solve all of society's problems (Socialist/Marxist/Communist mentality)&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;who fundamentally believes the common man is not nearly as smart as he is (Communist mentality)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;who hates capitalism and believes socialism is better &lt;/span&gt; &lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;div style="color: black;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;and you have all the ingredients of a despot in the making. Think Hugo Chavez of Venezuela. Met any happy Venezuelan's lately? You might want to ask how it's going down there for them. Most of Chavez' people want to emigrate the the USA. Go figure.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: black;"&gt;&lt;span style="color: green; font-size: small;"&gt;Marxists&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;, by definition, are power hungry people who want to control all aspects of life. They tell you that it is for the good of the collective but that is not true and they know it. It is impossible to name one nation with a Marxist ruler where the people are happy and free. In fact, you cannot name one where the average person in the country has it as good as the poor people in America. The same can be said for Communism. Marxist/Communist countries tend to have a small elite group (those in charge) that have all the goodies and privileges and everybody else wallows in mediocrity or poverty.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: black;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: black;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;Marxist leaders do not like our system of government because it removes control from them. Pure and simple. What you cannot control, you cannot profit from. For a Marxist leader, allowing personal liberties is basically taking money from their pocket. This also makes the masses unpredictable. Marxism is all about control. Freedom (and a Federal Republic) is the enemy of a Marxist regime. Marxist leaders do not want the people to think as they may actually see Marxism for what it is and rebel. That is why our system is so beautiful. Accountability of our leaders and the voice of the American people being spoken at the ballot box keeps us free. Anyone who fundamentally wants to change that should fundamentally go live elsewhere.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: black;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="color: black;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;Mr Obama is a self-described "Progressive". If you investigate the "progressive" agenda, you find that they desire more government intrusion into our lives because they want to control us. Their basic assumption is that people are incapable of deciding what is best for them and it is up to the government to tell them what is best. Well, no thanks, Mr. President. I am not giving up my freedoms so you can become King. As Patrick Henry said, "Give me liberty or give me death." Walmart sporting goods, here I come to greet the defenders of liberty - Smith and Wesson.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;Our forefathers knew what they were doing in setting up the "experiment"&amp;nbsp; called America. And this grand "experiment" has persisted for over two hundred years. The founders of this nation warned that we would constantly have to ward off people who would limit our liberties and desire to become ruler over us. They understood human nature very well.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;Our President has stated before that he feels that our Constitution is "fundamentally flawed." He goes on to say that the document describes what the government cannot do to us but does not spell out what the government "should" do for us. Here is where the philosophical difference between a true Marxist and the founders of this nation collide. Washington, Jefferson, et al believed that there were only a small number of things (like provide for the common defense) which the government should do for us as citizens. Otherwise, it was to stay out of our lives and let us pursue life, liberty and happiness as we see fit.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;So, we as Americans should be highly suspicious and distrusting of Presidents, Cabinet members, Congressmen and others who would seek to impose a philosophy upon us which is clearly anti-American. Consolidating power in the government and "doing more for the people" is in direct opposition to what out Constitution lays out as the role of the Federal Government. Our President and those in power are attempting to take us down a road that ends in despotism. What America needs in her President is a leader, not a wanna-be dictator. Clearly, Mr. Obama is more one than the other.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;Have I convinced you that our President definitely does not have your best interest in mind as he governs? It is this fact that drives me to preach on replacing all those in Congress in the 2010 elections. Scott Brown has caused the wave of discontent in America to crest. The wave will begin to break over Washington this November and the full force will hit in 2012 when we will replace our President with someone who wants to live in America and not some dictatorship.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;We are the land of the free and the home of the brave. Are you brave enough to remain free? Then do something for the 2010 elections to make a difference. Run for office or help get someone elected who is a "real" American who loves this country and does not believe that the Constitution and Declaration of Independence are archaic documents that need to be reinterpreted in light of the 21st Century.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;Our founding fathers were not only brilliant men, they were inspired by God Almighty Himself to bring this nation into being. The wave is higher now and beginning to pick up speed. As more energy is added over the course of 2010, I predict that the wave will be an overwhelming tsunami by November.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;There is something that Progressives, like our President, can do to help&lt;/span&gt; mitigate the groundswell of support for Conservatives and that is to move to a more moderate stance.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;However, if the attitude in Washington continues its arrogant tone and politicians continue to ignore the will of the American public, heads will roll in November. Based on a continuance of the building wave, let me be the first to predict that Nancy Pelosi will be unseated in her secure district in San Francisco, CA. If the Democrats in MA can send the message to the White House, so can their brethren in the Golden State. What needs to happen is that a Conservative Independent or Republican needs to get in there and take a page from the Scott Brown's playbook.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;Over the course of 2010, no matter what the poll numbers say, the American people can have hope that hopeless elections will be turned around and incumbents or supporters of Obama-care will be defeated. Thank you, Scott Brown. You have brought the grassroots movement of taking back our government to the forefront. You have settled the argument once and for all that, yes, Virginia, the American people are as mad as hell and we're not going to take it any more. This ain't your father's astroturf. This is the real deal.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;I highly suggest that you get personally involved during 2010. Personally, I don't want to work within the Republican party as I think that our two-party system is badly broken. I am going to see if I can find an Independent candidate to get behind, contribute to and actively support. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;Scott Brown set the standard. Discuss the issues that people are concerned about not the issues that Washington is concerned about. The Economy and Jobs are the #1 concern of the American people right now. Discuss with voters how you, as a candidate, will work on stimulating business to create jobs. Promise to stop the crazy spending in Washington. Take a pledge of integrity to stop corruption in Washington. Talk about the value term limits in keeping our government fresh with new minds and new ideas. Also, how term limits will stop the attitude of entitlement that is pervasive in Washington. Owe nothing to anyone except the American people.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;By completely replacing the House and ousting the incumbent Senators that are up for re-election in this off year, we can change the course of our nation. Let us put in place people who understand the value of shrinking government and returning to our Federal Republic as designed by our Founding Fathers.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;Good night America. We see headlines almost weekly about lawsuits or court judgments made in the name of separation of church and state that seek to remove any religious references from governmental entities. We are all familiar with the move afoot to remove the phrase "In God We Trust" from our money and courtrooms.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;But there are unintended consequences to this secularization of America. God, the God of the Bible, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, is foundational to our country and our liberties. Our Declaration of Independence states "&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: x-small;"&gt;We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;" &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;Wow, that says a lot in just two sentences.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;First off, all of the stuff mentioned in the two sentences is "self-evident". In other words, obvious even to the most stupid of us. Case closed on that one. Thank you Captain Obvious.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Second, we are all created equal. No argument there.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Third, our Creator (God as described above and this is evident from the writings of our founding fathers) has imbued us with "unalienablke rights" (ones that cannot be removed by any means) that include (but are not limited to) life (don't get me started on how this affects the abortion debate), liberty (we are all inherently free) and the pursuit of hapiness (God says, "Go for it!", pursue your dreams). So God grants us these rights, not man, not the government.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lastly, but not leastly, the government is created by man deriving it's power from the people. God grants the power to the people, people grant it to the government. So, who's in charge? God, then the people, then the government. Now how do you reconcile secularization with the fact that God, Himself, is ultimately in charge of this country? No can do!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You see, there can never be an atheistic America. Can't happen. Our freedom is based upon inherent qualities created in us by God. No God, no freedom. No God, no America.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now this creates a MAJOR problem for Atheists. If you do not believe the grantor of your unalienable rights exists, then how can you have any? Very serious problem. In fact, how can you support such a notion in the first place? It presumes the presence and existence of God which is the precise antithesis of the atheists belief system. I contend that atheists CANNOT be Americans because they fundamentally reject the idea of God and therefore reject the idea that he has granted us "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness". I understand France is lovely this time of year. The atheists should be quite at home there.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Back to my premise. As you can see, in order for there to be an America, there must exist a Creator who established the foundational pillars of this country and our governmental system.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Today, we are constantly assaulted by minority factions who would seek to remove God from our life and government. This assault cannot be sustained without doing major harm to our country. Our Congress should fundamentally reject all legislation restricting the use of God or Jesus in government settings. If there are those among us who are offended by that, then they are offended by the idea of America in general and need to find somewhere else to live.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We get our sense of right and wrong from the laws that God gave to Moses. Our civil laws are based upon these Divine revelations. God is the source of all of our legal system.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This secularization of America needs to be stopped now. We as a people need to rise up and take back our power from Congress. It is our right and our duty according to the Declaration of Independence. Throw out the arrogant elitists who are currently seated in Congress and replace them with normal, hard-working, moral, humble, God-fearing Americans.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The year 2010 is the time to do this. All 435 Congressional seats are being elected. Rise up. Run for office, help with electing Tea Party supporting candidates in your Congressional district. Become involved and do not let an atheistic minority destroy our country and our freedoms. Remember, the only place to go from were we are now is to a Marxist Dictatorship where the government owns and controls everything including your life. Stop Universal Health Care, Cap and Trade and any other hairbrained idea that Mr. Marxist Obama and his Chicago thugs come up with.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2010 is the year to begin restoring God to His rightful place as Creator and ultimate founder of America. Let the government provide for you is their philosophy under the guise of sharing the wealth. They would have you be dependent on a big government for your needs. There is only one problem with this. Dependence is the equivalent of slavery. Just as debt makes you beholding to the lender and a slave to him, dependency on government for essential needs creates a form of slavery. You are not free to do as you wish. You are beholding to the government and therefore under their control. This is slavery, pure and simple. Just look at our welfare system and how it has enslaved the poor and uneducated. This form of slavery also fosters crime since people have nothing meaningful to occupy their time.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;So are Marxists/communists really interested in the good of all people as they claim? No, they are interested in maintaining power through dependency and slavery and ignorance. True altruism is when you do something for someone that they are incapable of doing for themselves without expecting anything in return. Marxists and communists and socialists are NOT altruistic. Nor can you find a place on this planet where these political/social/economic philosophies function in a truly free society. They create waste, corruption and bureaucracy.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Continue giving that man a fish each day and make him dependent on you so you can control him. This is their philosophy.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;But with a free market system comes freedom. Teach someone how to care for himself and you create a useful member of society. They pull their own weight and are industrious and happy. They tend not to be criminals because they have meaningful work to do. They have no time for the sloth that breeds the criminal mind. This is what America was founded on.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;But what of the indigent and unfortunate among us? Those that cannot care for themselves. What of them? Well, this is where charity comes in. Charity should not be provided by the government. Charity is the realm of private organizations like the Red Cross and the churches. People of faith need to have an opportunity to be charitable to their neighbors. When the government steps into this role, it robs all people of faith of an opportunity to increase their faith through charitable acts. People who are dependent on the government do not participate in charitable acts. They have no time nor inclination to do so. They themselves are needy. People engaged in working in a free market system, on the other hand, usually have more then enough to share with those who have nothing. Charity is the means through which individual redistribution of wealth can take place in a voluntary manner. All churches should be preaching of the obligation of those who have to be generous to those who do not have due to no fault of their own.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;So, you see, a free market economy (capitalism) is all about freedom. Marxism, communism and socialism are all about enslavement.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;As I recall, we outlawed slavery in this country quite a while back. I would say that settles why we cannot have this Health Care Bill or any of the other socialistic, Marxist legislation our president and the progressives are trying to get passed in Congress. In order for us to remain a free nation, we must embrace and promote our capitalistic system. We must reject any philosophy or legislation that would be a handout. We must only deal in enabling people to work and learn to fish for a lifetime.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;Goodnight, America. Our president is sure finding that out. The number one priority of the American people: jobs and fixing the economy. The number one priority of our president: Health Care reform. Huh? Wait, doesn't he work for us?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Why the disconnect? I'll tell you why. President Obama cannot fix our economy because it would violate his sacred beliefs and principles (yes, he has them but they are quite different than yours or mine). Therefore, he will focus on something else and leave the economy alone.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What, you ask, is the sacred belief / principle that he holds so dear? It is that our capitalistic system of free enterprise is BAD. You see his dilemma? In order to fix our economic problems and create jobs, President Obama must stimulate business. How does he stimulate business to create jobs? By encouraging capitalism to work like it is supposed to. Ouch! How can you encourage a practice and economic system which you want to FAIL and believe is an obstruction to redistributing wealth?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Tough position to be in. Help your fellow Americans who voted for you by propping up an economic system you are trying to destroy or leave it alone to fail since you believe capitalism to be inherently evil? Hmmm ... I don't think this is a difficult decision. Oh, wait, that's right. He doesn't work for us, the American people. We just elected him. He doesn't owe us anything. Hey, he's entitled to his position as dictator, er, President.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;See my point? President Obama cannot, and will not, EVER fix our economic problems. Certainly not when it will further his agenda of destroying capitalism in America. Once our economy fails he can declare capitalism a dismal failure and enlighten us with a better way, Communism (probably by some other name since this one carries so much negative baggage). He is so much smarter than the rest of us, you see. Including our Founding Fathers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;At that point, everyone will be required to ignore history and any present day examples of failed Marxism/Communism/Socialism operating in this world  (think China, North Korea, Cuba, etc.). Never mind that Communism never worked for the USSR or that the country is now defunct. Do not be confused by the facts here. Just believe our President when he makes his pronunciation. Trust him.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;That brings me to another point. I have finally figured out why, when President Obama speaks, he, as we say here in Texas, "makes my butt itch." When the man speaks he MAKES you want to believe him. I don't know how he does that but I can sense that as can everyone else can. Man, it is a strong urge to just sit back and believe everything that comes out of this mouth. Make me your mindless slave, Mr. President, please! Just tell me everything I need to know.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I unfortunately am a critically thinking human being. Damn that college education and parents that taught me to think for myself. Curse them all! I cannot allow someone to make me a mindless zombie without analyzing whether or not they are telling me the truth. Can no one save me from this madness?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well, in my insanity, I begin to see the light. The wool that would be pulled over my eyes is lifted and I observe a man who would say whatever I want to hear, true or not, in order to influence me and gain my support.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This became clear to me when President Obama was interviewed in China recently by Major Garrett of Fox News. I listened to our president's responses. He phrased his answers to sound like what Fox News listeners wanted to hear. However, when you evaluated what he was really saying, you realized that he was lying through his teeth. He made statements that he does not believe to be true. He lied, unblinkingly, to Major and, hence via television, to the American public (most of which watch Fox News). I realized that we have a president that will say ANYTHING, true or not, if he thinks it is what the listening audience wants to hear. Liar, liar pants on fire!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;America, believe NOTHING this man says. He so frequently mixes fact with fiction that I am sure not even he knows the difference. Truth is truth. Truth mixed with any amount of a lie is: A LIE! No ifs, ands or buts about it. Our president is a bonafide, calculated liar.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As we have seen over the past 11 months of his presidency, Mr. Obamas actions and words almost never line up. So, no matter what he says about WANTING to create jobs and fix the economy, you can take it to the bank that there will be no action to back that up.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The most current example of this is the TARP or stimulus package. In the name of transparency, http://www.recovery.gov was created to track where the money has gone and to document what jobs were saved/created by TARP money. What a debacle! Not only is the information on the site bogus but as a web site professional, I can tell you that recovery.gov is no $18M web site. Yes, $18M is what was paid to revamp the site. That is outrageous. I could have done the job for less than $5M, maybe even less than $2M. What a waste of money.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The kicker here is not just that the site has bogus information but when the contract for the site revamp was requested by one Congressman's office, they got a completely redacted contract. Yes, that means that all pertinent information on the contract was BLACKED OUT! Well, that's only done for national security reasons (or to hide something you don't want the American people to know about) and I'm pretty certain that there were no national security secrets in that contract. What a farce! I bet once, if ever, the actual contract is revealed, we will discover that all that money was paid to some Obama Chicago crony. More evidence, as Michelle Malkin has put it, of the culture of corruption surrounding President Obama.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, we are stuck for the moment with a lying, corrupt politician for a president. This can be partially corrected in 2010 by voting out politicians who enable the president to be corrupt and replacing them with God-fearing Americans who love this country and our free enterprise system. The final correction can come in 2012 when we elect a president worthy of the office.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Do not be fooled, America, Health Care Reform is a diversion. Our real problem will never be dealt with because it would further perpetuate an economic system that our President has vowed to destroy. Unfortunately, for Mr. Obama, the free market system is recovering in spite of his doing nothing. His next move to stop the recovery, Cap and Trade and more taxes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Good night, America. Sleep soundly because God is watching over this nation. What you see is what you get. I try to be as transparent as possible so people always know where they stand with me. No secrets, constantly honest (it's the best policy, you know). I'd make a HORRIBLE politician in Washington because I refuse to play those games. I won't lie to you but I also will not be brutal with the truth. Truth without love is very brutal.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I firmly hold to the belief that Jesus is coming back for the Christians. I loved the Left Behind series of books and read all of them. Scripture seems to indicate that it will happen and I'd like to believe that God will have mercy on His children prior to the 7 years of really bad luck for everyone else. However, can I state it as a fact? No. Am I dogmatic about it to the point of not listening to dissenting opinions? No.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Since that is true, I often think about what the future will be like for my grandchildren. Sobering thought. I want to make sure that I have done everything now to make this nation one that they can prosper in and enjoy. Marxism does not give me a thrill up my leg on that issue. Our democracy and free market economy does. These are the things that have made America great. These are the things that will keep America great. I don't want a fundamentally transformed country. I want this one with some improvements. Marxism and communism are NOT improvements. Just ask the people living under Marxism and communism. Do the citizens of Cuba or Venezuela think they have a great place to live? Where do citizens of those countries flock to? Maybe the President's advisers (and Mr. O himself) should take a trip to one of these places or, better yet, Communist China. Hey, they may own us soon any way since they are buying up all our debt.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Freedom in our country is based on two principles. One, that we are endowed by our Creator with inalienable rights. Two, that our government should protect these rights. The government should protect the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Not take it away. Marxism removes those rights and assigns them to the government. The government then has the right to your life, your liberty and your happiness. Not you. Just ask the people living under the working examples in our world today.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Marxism is an atheistic system. It DOES NOT and CANNOT promote freedom of religion. Under Marxism, God does not exist and therefore it is the government who grants you whatever rights you have. So, first I lose the right to worship the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and secondly, I cannot pursue life, liberty and happiness unless the government tells me that I can. We move from what is best for the individual to what the government thinks is best for the collective.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, correct me if I'm wrong but it seems that for the last 200+ years, all these "individuals" in our nation have done a pretty good job of taking care of those in need. The Red Cross and the Salvation Army are two shining examples. However, these life-saving organizations are falling on hard times due to a lack of donations by Americans. Why is that? The economy? Maybe. But I think I have a different perspective. If the government (and my taxes) are taking care of poor people and the &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;underprivileged&lt;/span&gt;, why should I contribute to these &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;organizations&lt;/span&gt;? That's double dipping and my income is limited as it is. Sound familiar? Hey, pretty much everybody's had that thought.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, when the collective is taken care of by the government, we, as individual citizens tend to pull back from caring about the collective. However, if the government was not there, we as Americans would rise up and find a creative way to take care of the problem. Americans are not selfish, greedy people as "progressives" would have you think. The average American is quite compassionate towards his neighbor. However, if the government is already taking care of them, that leaves me nothing to do. So I don't do anything.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Therefore, the answer to Health Care, poverty and other issues affecting the poor and downtrodden is to let the American free system take care of it. Just like with Katrina and 9/11, we Americans rise to the occasion to help those in need. No government intervention required. American hearts are HUGE. And that also extends around the world. We are the most giving nation on earth.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I go back to the central theme of this blog of replacing everyone in Congress in 2010 again. If not for ourselves, let's do it to give our kids a chance. If not for our kids, let's do it for our grandchildren. Get involved. Help me out. Run for office. Pray. Contribute money. Do something.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I don't know about you, but I would rather call our leader Mr. President than Comrade or Supreme Commander. How about you?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Good night, America. Wonder how many folks in Marxist/Communist countries can:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;Travel to another city without restrictions&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;Have the freedom to post blogs without government intervention&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;Enjoy the wealth of Starbucks outlets we have with comfort and convenience&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;Attend a fun wedding like we did last night without fear&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;Pray as we did last night at the wedding in the name of Jesus without retribution or censorship&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;Man, I love democracy and capitalism and the life here in America they provide us.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, that begs the question for Marxists (and any others opposed to democracy and/or capitalism), "Just how would your system of government and economic system improve upon our situation as Americans?" Any takers? The definitive answer is that these other systems of government and economy CANNOT improve what our founding fathers set up. They were one &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3"&gt;smart&lt;/span&gt; bunch of dudes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, that is not to say that improvements in our governmental and economic systems are not needed. Indeed they are. However, a complete change of the basic systems is not warranted. What is wrong with these people who want to "fundamentally transform" America? Well, that is an easy one. They want all the power now residing with the people of this country consolidated into their hands.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There is an old saying about human nature that is at work here and in the Obama&lt;br /&gt;White House. "Absolute power corrupts absolutely". I don't know who said it but it is as true as the day is long. A person in charge without accountability will become corrupted. No one is exempt from this rule of human nature. We have seen it play out in history time after time. This is why there is no transparency at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. They are all corrupt already and just want to consolidate their power.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;No one can argue that accountability is almost non-existent in Washington. We need representatives who believe they are serving the people who elected them. Way too many members of Congress believe that they are smarter than their constituents and that they are somehow entitled to their position of power. They forget that the power is on loan from us, the American people. We need to retain that power or we will end up with a Dictatorship or some form of a Communist government.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, I'm trying to be fair here because people like Sam Johnson (my Congressman) are the exception to the rule instead of being the rule. Sam is a true American hero and listens to his constituency. He is humble, fair and honest. How many are there in Congress like Sam? I don't know but it is obviously not enough. If there were, they would be calling arrogant &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4"&gt;prima&lt;/span&gt; donas like Speaker &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5"&gt;Pelosi&lt;/span&gt; on the carpet when they call Americans Nazis or brown-shirts. Shame on her. She should have been censured by the entire House in a non-partisan vote with no &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6"&gt;dissenters&lt;/span&gt;. I won't hold my breath for that one.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So what is Mr. Hope and Change offering us any way? Hope for what? Hope we won't notice as he pulls a fast one on us? We've already seen the "Change" our President and his associates want. They want to "fundamentally transform" America. Into what? It's got to have something with Marxism. I mean either our President is an idiot or he's perfectly aware of the ideologies of the people who are his close advisors. Ya think? He knows exactly who they are and whole-heartedly endorses their points of view because he shares them. We're not stupid Mr. Obama. We know a skunk when we see one in spite of how you want to convince us that we are looking at a rhino. Smell something yet? Yup, it stinks.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyone want to venture a guess as to why the President seems to not want to focus on the #1 problem that Americans are concerned about? It's the economy stupid! Jobs and the economy. DUH! Health care needs work, granted, but it is not at the top of our list. However, to fix the economy, you have to work within our capitalistic system. If you already believe it is fundamentally evil and unfair then and were planning on replacing it with a supposedly fairer economic system that will "redistribute the wealth" (oooh, can you say Marxist/communist here?) you NATURALLY would ignore the problem until you can get your changes in place. Allow the current system to collapse on it's own. Regulate it to death, take over businesses under the guise of "BAILOUTS" because some companies are just "too big" to be allowed to fail. Tax all those evil profits.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A friend wrote to me on Facebook recently and commented that, although he does not agree with everything I write in this blog he finds my musings mentally stimulating. I hope that is true of everyone who reads these blog entries. My intent here is to stimulate people to think about what is going on in Washington and how that is affecting our country.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I began this blog entry talking about freedoms. As the title says, our freedoms are not free. They have come at great price. Much American blood has been spilled to ensure them. We should value our freedoms more than gold. And there should be a vicious fight when someone attempts to deprive us of any of these freedoms.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Our government is intending to do just that, deprive us of our freedoms. Freedom of speech, freedom to pursue life, liberty and happiness. If our economic system is ruined and then "transformed" into something other than capitalism, we will lose those freedoms. If our govenmental system is "transformed" into a Marxist regime, we will lose our freedoms. We have thrived for over 200 years BECAUSE of our democracy and capitalism. Today's technology and ease of lifestyle owes everything to these pillars of America. Do not allow a bunch of elitists in Washington to "fundamentally transform" us into Cuba or China or, God forbid, North Korea. Only democracy and capitalism in combination with each other will keep us free and prosperous. Yes, there is work to be done but cutting down the pillars of America can only do one thing, collapse our society.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Hence the need to replace the Marxists and seditionists in Washington with REAL Americans. And the 2010 election is an optimal time to do it. How will you help? Will you help? It won't happen without you being involved. Run for office, actively campaign, blog your fingers off. Do something, I beg of you.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Definitely, comment on this blog and/or be a follower. Encourage me. Criticize me. Tell me you get a thrill up your leg each time you read my blog. Besides a common hatred of free enterprise, free speech and just about any type of personal liberty, Marxists are Atheists. They have to be by definition.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Yes, Karl Marx was among those intellectuals and brilliant people who believe that all that we see came from nothing. Sound like nonsense? Well, it is. Nothing cannot create something but that is exactly what the Big Bang Theory preaches. All the matter in the universe was compressed into a single dot and it exploded. And the dot was so small, it was virtually non-existent, nothing, if you will.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This all, of course, relates back to one of the founding fathers of Marxism, Charles Darwin. His book was a tremendous influence on Karl Marx and, consistent with Marxist principles, none of the 5 world Marxist regimes encourages freedom of religion. Imagine that. Atheists running the country not allowing freedom of religion. Amazing. Makes sense if you think about it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now Charles Darwin started out well enough. He had just graduated from Bible College when he went on his famous journey aboard The Beagle. However, Charlie was influenced by others of his day who denied a special Creation event by God Almighty. These "progressives" said that all we see took a long time to come into being and was self-directed. There was no overseeing force and, certainly, no God controlling everything.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There is a story I love to tell that is well documented about the father of modern science, Sir Isaac Newton. Few doubt that he was one of the greatest scientific minds to have ever lived. Did you know that Sir Isaac was a devout Christian and believed in a litteral 7-day creation? Probably not. The school books tend to leave out that juicy tidbit. Or that he wrote more Bible commentaries than he ever did scientific papers?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One day Sir Newton had delivered to him a working model of our solar system which he had commissioned from a master clock maker. When you turned the wheel, all the planets rotated around the sun in their proper orbits and the model planets were in the correct porportions in their distance from the sun. It was a marvel to behold. Upon it's delivery, Newton invited an atheist friend of his over to see it. The man was astounded. He examined the fine craftsmanship and the attention to detail with great awe. After a while, he could not contain himself and he had to ask Newton who had built such a magnificent model. "Well, no one built it", replied Newton. The atheist thought Newton had not heard him and repeated the question. Sir Isaac repeated his answer. The man became irritated that Newton was now responding as wished. He went on about the model and it's features and how it was obvious that it had been created by a person of great skill. Then Newton replied to his friend, "So you are convinced without seeing the craftsman that this fine machine had a designer and manufacturer and yet this is a mere representation of the magnificent original which you claim does not have any creator?" The atheist was without a reply. He knew Newton was right.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Creation is a no-brainer. It is intuitively obvious from everything that has been made. God's signature is on it all. Yet atheists refuse to see. Marxists are of this ilk as well. This means that we have a man in the White House who, in spite of his claims otherwise, does not believe that God really exists. Marxists do not believe in God because atheism is a natural outcome of the Theory of Evolution. Charles Darwin said as much and Richard Dawkins, numero uno atheist in the world, states this unequivocally. Darwinism leads to atheism. Pure and simple. Marxism is based on Darwinism so Marxists are therefore, by necessity, atheists. Our President and those surrounding him that claim to hold Marxist beliefs are atheists. What happened to "In God We Trust"?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Let this sink in. There are tremendous ramifications for our nation having atheists running a country founded on Christian principles by Christian men.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;More tomorrow.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Good night America. The former White House Green Czar who slithered away in the middle of the night is now a vague memory and an article in the Fox News archives.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Van Jones was an avowed Marxist. Now, for those of you who were asleep in World History class, Marxism is named for Karl Marx. He is credited with coming up with this idea that we can all share equally (yes, communism is a logical result of Marxism) and that capitalism is a bad, bad thing. Capitalism (our present economic form) exploits workers and creates a class system according to old Karl. The owners get rich and the workers are not fairly compensated for their work. In fact, if the retail price of something is the value of the worker's work, then the employer is keeping the difference between what he pays the worker and what he charges for the product. We know that as PROFIT but Marxism sees it as EVIL. They believe that extra money should go to the worker.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Fellow White Houser Anita Dunn has praised Chairman Mao of China as one of the two political philosophers she looks to often. Mao, when he was in charge of killing off as many Chinese as possible, was an avid Marxist so one could conclude that Ms. Dunn does not think that being a Marxist is a bad thing. We might even stretch a point to say that she favors Marxists since she looks to them for guidance.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Our golden-boy president has also stated that he is a Marxist and bragged about hanging out with all the Marxist professors when he was in college. I have not heard him renounce that so one has to conclude that he still favors Marxism and communism over Democracy and capitalism.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well, a Marxist White House causes a big problem for America. We are not a Marxist nation and do not have a communist form of economics driving this country. And Marxism seems to be historically linked with several very bad things by American freedom standards.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;First off, Marxism is anti-capitalism. Now being a small business owner myself, I have a real problem with that. Marxist hold that only the government should run businesses because they will magnanimously equally distribute the wealth from the enterprises. Let's look at how that's working out for the Marxist countries (communist countries) of the world.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are 5 Marxist (Communist run) countries in the world:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;ul style="font-family: verdana;"&gt;&lt;li&gt;The People's Republic of China - Hey, there's a place I'd like to live (jk). How about you? Justice is swift and I'm sure those Chinese are rolling in dough from the "equal" distribution of wealth by the government. I mean, yea, it's a dictatorship and all and there's no freedoms found here like in America but, hey, it's Marxist through and through. &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;The Republic of Cuba - Well, we all know what a great guy Fidel Castro is. I mean, just look at the prosperity of the Cuban people. Not sure, with such a great system of government, why so many of them are trying to cross the Atlantic to get to Florida. It is a mystery.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;The Democratic Republic of Korea - North Korea. Ya gotta love old Kim Jong Il. What a nutty character. Hey, they'll soon have nukes and be expanding their territory. I'm sure life there is easy, peasy, lemon-squeezy.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;The Lao People's Democratic Republic - Laos to us Vietnam-era kiddos. No doubt that they are living in the lap of luxury thanks to the wonderful workings of communism. Not free but, hey, you have to pay a price for progress.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;The Socialist Republic of Vietnam - Good old North Vietnam. Once again, I'm sure life is grand there.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;So, there you have&lt;/span&gt; the&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt; A-list (and the only list) of the utopias created by Marxism.&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;You got your bags packed yet? What? You don't want to live in these paradises created by Marxism? Is there something wrong?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;Got your attention? So why do all these White House people want to make us a communist nation? Why do they hate capitalism? Why do they embrace and admire Marxism when it only leads to misery for 90% of the nation? Why is the news media not asking these questions (OK, with the exception of Fox)?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Obama and his cronies seem to be trying to do everything they can to stifle free enterprise. It is our free enterprise system which has made this country great and prosperous. Could there be another agenda? Could they be trying to set us up for a Dictatorship? In spite of their claims otherwise, all Marxist nations are basically dictatorships. Cruel dictatorships, I might add.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What makes this so attractive? Well, POWER is the answer. I believe that Barack Obama is going to attempt a power grab and to set up a dictatorship in America if he can get all the elements in place. If he destroys our economic system and collapses our currency, he can create a crisis big enough where he can declare our current form of government defunct and establish (via a coup or "revolution" in Marxist language) a dictatorship with him as the head. Think that's off the wall? It's happened before in other countries.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However, this is America and our history as a people is to fight to the death when our freedoms are threatened. Do you love your freedoms and rights? Do you love them enough to die defending them? You may be called on in the future to do just that.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is just one of the many reasons why these people need to be voted out of office in 2010. The House and Representatives and Senate need to be taken over by the people of America. We need to create a revolution of our own in these governing bodies. Without control of Congress, Obama will be rendered impotent. With real Americans running things, he will be unable to carry out his agenda.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;America, unite. Throw out any one in Congress with more than two terms. In fact, in this first round of cleansing, they all need to go. Get involved. Run for office. Help out with the Total Recall 2010 campaign. Spread the word. Send $$$$.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We need to take back our country from the hands of the Marxists.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Goodnight, America. A recent Rassmussen Poll has the republican challengers at 50% and Reid at 40%. I'm sure Harry is shaking in his boots. In fact, he's so nervous that he worked out a sweetheart deal on a recent bill amendment. The deal is that his state will not have to pay the increase in Medicaid costs for the next 5 years. Not bad for NV but bad for the other states. He's desperately trying to score points with the folks back home. He's vulnerable and he knows it. I enjoy seeing him sweat. The only down side? The challengers are both party-tied Republicans. If either of them was willing to eschew their partisanship for this election, America could win that seat in the Senate, not the Republicans.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now don't get me wrong. I don't hate the Republican party. I just think that partisan politics is what has gotten us into this mess and more of the same will just muddy things further. We need Americans in office who are not affiliated with any political party or who are willing to leave their partisanship at the door when they enter Congress. Fat chance of that happening with Reps and Dems.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Nancy Pelosi is another story. She is from the 8th District of California. Right smack dab in the middle of Liberal USA, San Francisco, CA. Getting her displaced will be a challenge. However, there is hope. In the last election, Nancy only got 71.7% of the vote. The LOWEST percentage she's ever gotten in an election and she's been re-elected 9 times! Is it possible that the voters of SF are getting tired of Grande Dame Pelosi and her obnoxious superior attitude? I certainly hope so.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;More good news. Both Pelosi and Reid have VERY unfavorable ratings. Pelosi has an unfavorable rating of 57% and Reid has one of 49% according to Rassmussen. Well, if 57% of voters don't like Pelosi, there is hope that we can get her unseated. She's supposed to be safe in this election. Let's show her that NO ONE IS SAFE.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, I need people in Nevada to work on getting Harry Reid displaced and folks in San Fran helping to buy Ms. Pelosi a one-way ticket back to where she left her heart. The facts blew me away.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Senate has 36 of the 100 seats up for grabs and the House of Representatives has  &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;ALL 435 seats &lt;/span&gt;being voted on in this election.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Do you realize what that means? We could make a historic impact on American politics in one single election. If we could fill the 36 Senate seats with independent, non-partisan, moral, responsible citizens, sanity would control 36% of the Senate. That's huge! And in the House, if all incumbents could be unseated by rational candidates, the revolution would be complete. America would return to normalcy almost overnight!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;President Obama would have no venue for his liberal, left-wing policies. Bills would get read and debated before being voted on. Congress would actually be working for the people of the United States rather than the special interest groups that have bought influence for years. Politics in America would be instantly transformed. True transparency would come to Capital Hill.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Be still my heart! However, to make this happen will take a lot of work. There is only 14 months until the election and a ton of work to be done. Funds need to be raised, candidates chosen and placed on the ballots and word of this movement needs to get out to every American voter.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have already sent out an email to everyone I know and my wife has done the same. I am hoping that those that get the email will forward it to everyone they know and it will go viral around the US. I have my fingers crossed. I have already gotten a few encouraging feedback comments and they all have been positive. If you've received the email, please pass it on to everyone in your email address book. I need tons of help here.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I feel very much like David going up against Goliath. I've got 5 stones and a slingshot, he's got heavy armor and a huge sword. All we need is one well-placed stone, though, to down the giant. I have faith that we can do it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This historic opportunity will not come again for another 6 years for Senate seats or 4 years for House seats. This means that Nancy Pelosi can be given her walking papers and we won't have to tolerate any more of her insults to the American public.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Some of the races are uncontested. We need to get candidates in there to give people a choice. Some of the races seem to be a sure thing for the incumbent. We need to challenge them with our candidates. Some of the races only have partisan (Repub or Demo) candidates. We need to give people a choice to break away from party politics.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm not afraid of hard work in the face of overwhelming odds. Are you? He has bemoaned the fact that the civil rights movement did not address this issue. It was supposed to address redistribution of wealth? Boy, that's news to me. I thought it was all about equal rights.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now the concept of redistribution of wealth is simple. Those who have are forced to give to those who don't so that everyone ends up with the same amount, Comrade. If this sounds like communism or socialism, it is. But I digress.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I challenge our President to put his money where is mouth is and to lead by example. I suggest Mr. Obama redistribute HIS wealth to show us how it's done. In fact I have the perfect place to start: Air Force One.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Air Force One (there are actually two, one for backup) is the President's private plane. However, those planes cost us taxpayers between $220 and $240 Million dollars a year to maintain (these are LOW estimates). The 2007 fuel bill for AF1 was $6 Billion (yes, you read that right, that's a "B"). Whoa, wonder what the MPG is on that baby! Oh, and since we know that oil prices tend to rise, every $10 jump in the price of oil costs us another $610M in jet fuel.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;By all estimates that I could find, the operating cost of Air Force One is around $68,000 per hour. That is one luxurious ride.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;By eliminating AF1 (both of them) and donating that money to charities that feed the poor and to organizations that provide health care for the indigent, I think our President could make a significant dent in improving the lives of impoverished inner-city Americans.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Before Washington starts talking about taking away my hard-earned money, they better start doing some serious cost cutting in their own budgets and luxury perks.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Redistribution of wealth is hogwash. Our President has outright disdain for our entrepreneurial economy. Well, as a small businessman, I say "phooey to youey". I intend to keep my wealth and contribute to help the poor as I see fit. You want my wealth to redistribute? Good luck prying it out of my cold, dead hands because that's the only way you're going to get it, Mr. Obama.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Our country's greatness rests on the backs of independent small businesses. 70% of all people who work, work for a small business. There will be no redistribution of wealth without a serious fight from the American people. We earn it, we're entitled to keep it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mr. President, you know what you can do with your "progressive" ideas of communism and socialism. They're not "progressive", they are "repressive". And to promote these ideas is to promote 21st century slavery. There does not exist a democracy anywhere in the world that is as successful as America whose economic system is socialistic. In fact, all the socialistic/communistic nations are run by dictators.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Is that your intent, Mr. Obama? To become our dictator? Fat chance!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In the words of Patrick Henry, "Give me liberty or give me death." Each party demonizing the other. My parent's philosophy was simple. Republicans good, Democrats evil. Simple but untrue.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The more I think about this (basically) two-party system we have, the more it does not make sense to me. These political parties are powerful organizations that control what candidates are offered up for the election and then dictate the policies which that candidate will implement from the President all the way down through Congress. The word bi-partisan has no meaning. A &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;Repub&lt;/span&gt; is a &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;Repub&lt;/span&gt; and a Demo is a Demo. Oh, there's some leanings toward the center (Blue Dog Demos) but everybody pretty much stays to their own party.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Wait, this is a government "of the people, by the people and for the people." I don't read the words Republican, Democrat, Libertarian or the name of any political party in there. However, the political parties are there with their hands out like all the lobbyists and &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2"&gt;PACs&lt;/span&gt; seeking favors from the powerful because they contributed heavily to their campaign. That means our political parties engage in just as much influence peddling as everyone else out there that they condemn.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Last time I looked, the title of the office was President of the United States of America and the Congressmen and women of this country were in the United States Congress. These offices SERVE the people of the United States of America NOT the political parties. However, it does not work that way.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Hence, I am advocating in Total Recall 2010 that potential candidates we would support should renounce membership in either party and run as an independent candidate. No, not a candidate of the Independent Party but just an unaffiliated candidate. One who states his or her platform clearly and is open to any kind of checking into their background that might be necessary to make sure they are worth of our trust as Americans.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We need people of good moral character in office come November 2010. True, not that many seats are up for grabs in the next election but it is a start. And it will make the career politicians REALLY nervous if we can get just one candidate elected. Because where there is one in 2010, there will be more in 2012. So I urge you to support this movement in any way you can.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Career politicians need to go. Term limits for Congress need to be implemented. Government needs to be shrunk back to a reasonable size and removed from intruding on our lives. Big government is not the answer.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We are Americans and we can take care of ourselves. We are not a nation of welfare recipients or little children with our hands out. We want to have our hands busy building, creating, inventing, innovating and being constructive, productive and profitable. A working America is a strong America and &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3"&gt;Entrepreneurs&lt;/span&gt; are the engine that keeps Americans working and keeps our economy running.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;That's my thoughts for tonight America. Mine is. All the information and counter information that is being leveled at us is mind boggling. And everyone says the other guy is lying.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have come to the conclusion that our President lies with the greatest of ease. He can look the camera square in the eye and tell the American people a fact that he knows is not true. He's not mistaken, he's a bold-faced liar. Naturally, those that voted for him will disagree with me.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So I'm thinking that the Republicans are giving out valid facts. Newt Gingrich appears on Bill O'Reilly's program. They are discussing Health Care like everyone else is. Newt states that costs can be lowered dramatically by doing one simple thing, allowing insurance companies to compete across state lines. Both O'Reilly and I are amazed that it would be so easy and the solution seems so simple.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well, the old saying that "if it looks too good to be true it probably is" applies here. Wow that seemed like such a simple solution. What is wrong with the Democrats that they can't see that our free market system would single-handedly bring a significant lowering of insurance premiums if we would just open up the market? Hmmm, I later learned that I was deceived.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The following day, I go into a client's office. This client's business is the online administration of Health benefits. They have an online system that I have worked on as a programmer on and off for 4 or 5 years. I am currently working on a project for them so I am there all day long. I mentioned what Newt Gingrich said the prior night to a fellow programmer. "Bullshit" cries the owner from his office. I am taken aback. He comes out of his office and I ask him what he means. The owner proceeds to explain to me that the cost of health insurance is determined by WHERE YOU LIVE and the hospitals in that area. Not by competition with other insurance carriers. It is also a result of State regulations and a lot of insurers do not sell in states because they do not want to accommodate the state's regulations. News to me!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, the owner of this company has 20 plus years experience selling insurance and is a man of great character. He does not lie and he does not cheat. He is as fair a boss as one could ever find. So, I tend to take him at his word based on his character and experience and knowledge.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;He also enlightens me to the fact that the insurance lobby has been trying desperately to educate our lawmakers about just this fact and Congress is not listening. Well, as Americans, we know how that feels to have Congress ignore what we are telling them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Is anybody going to give us the straight dope on Health Care? My goodness, who do we believe. Everyone sounds off like an authority and no one is checking their facts before they pontificate. Give me at least one HONEST and CLEAR communicator who makes sure he knows what he's talking about prior to sounding off.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This brings me back to the reason for the Total Recall 2010 project. We need to get these "seasoned" lawmakers OUT! They have all been playing in the sewer of Washington for WAY too long. I'm not sure there's an honest one among them. OK, maybe Congressman Sam Johnson of Texas and Ron Paul. Maybe. Who knows? Would they tell us the truth even if it would cost them their political career? I'd like to believe that but I just don't know any more.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;No more career politicians! No more lies! Let's clean house and elect lawmakers who are honest and transparent and who will tell us the truth even if it costs them dearly. Those who have been part of the Washington system for more than one term are, for lack of a better word, tainted. You can't play in the mud for that long and not get stained. Know what I mean? We need fresh eyes in Washington looking for corruption and posing the hard questions about why we do things as they are done now.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If we elect candidates with the qualifications I have proposed in my Purpose document (see prior post for a link to it), they would be people of character. They would be appropriately aghast at things normal people &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;SHOULD &lt;/span&gt;be aghast at.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This past Sunday, President Obama gave an interview to ABC News. When questioned about the ACORN scandal, the President's comment was that the behavior on the videos was "inappropriate". &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;INAPPROPRIATE? &lt;/span&gt;You've got to be kidding me. Any normal person responds to those videos with outrage over such behavior being funded by their tax dollars. Why the soft response? I'll tell you why. Because such "inappropriate" behavior by ACORN is no surprise to our President. He's known about it for years and that's why he minimizes it. Besides, he's so closely tied to ACORN that strong criticism of that organization might spill over onto himself.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, I believe we need to clean house in Washington of anyone who has been there longer than one term. Single-termers might still be salvageable (hopefully) and useful. The point is that in order to root out the corruption in Washington, we need to get at the root of the problem: the elected officials with no moral character who allow themselves to be seduced by big money.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Also, term limits will be important for the ongoing maintenance of a corruption-free government. Anyone elected knows that they are on a short leash from the American public and won't tend to get too comfortable in their leather Congressional floor chair.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I understand the viewpoint that this is extreme thinking and action here. However, our founding fathers obviously thought it important enough to guarantee our right as American citizens to turn over our government if it was not serving us. I think we are in that situation right now. Unresponsive government needs to be replaced by responsible and responsive representatives.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Americans are frustrated that their government is not listening to them and is taking an arrogant and racist attitude towards us if we attempt to disagree with them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Time for some Red Queen action here. I once was a member of the Republican Party but am eschewing party politics for two reasons. One, partisan politics does not appear to be getting us anywhere and, two, the Republican party seems just as corrupt as the Democratic party to me. So, I take this opportunity to declare myself an Independent. I am not beholding to any groups ideals except those which I choose to adopt.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And speaking of corruption, I have gotten the distinct sense that the entire Washington system is riddled with corruption on both sides of the aisle. It seems to me that in order to get rid of the corruption, we must first apply that well-known surgical technique of cutting out all visible infection.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We, as American citizens, are not helpless or powerless to remove this corruption from the halls of Washington. This is why I propose Total Recall 2010/2012/2014 as a project to remove ALL career politicians from office and to prevent us from ever getting into this situation again.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Everyone wants to blame someone for our present circumstances. Well, I believe that career politicians are to blame. They are either corrupt and in bed with special interests or have just been in office so long they have forgotten just who their REAL boss is, us the American people.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Politicians should respect their constituency and posses a healthy fear of losing their privilege of power bestowed by the American people upon them. I have recently seen demonstrated, by people like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the disdain and arrogance which Congress harbors towards us regular citizens. Well, my response to that is that we should put the fear of God into them. They believe they are safe or, more pathetically, that they are truly representing their constituents. Neither of those things are true, I believe and we need to make a public statement to our leaders:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"We are the American people and we are in charge, not you!"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I believe the best way to drive this message home is to vote ALL incumbents out of office in the November 2010 elections and replace them with people who will do our will and represent us appropriately. Then repeat the process in the 2012 elections by replacing everyone including the President. The final cleanup would be in 2014 to pick up any lingering Congressmen who might have their terms expire in 2014.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As this turnover is taking place, we need to put term limits (2 terms max) into place for all Congressional seats. That will prevent us from ever having professional politicians again. Our Constitution allows us to clean house periodically in a peaceful manner and we should avail ourselves of it's powers granted to us, the people.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But who do we elect in place of the current corrupt politicians? Glad you asked! I have worked up a Purpose Statement for this project/organization along with a Platform that a candidate should support in order to be assisted by TR2010 in getting elected as well as a Candidate Profile which gives voters a point of reference to judge whether or not a candidate is worthy of the honor of representing us in US government.
